What is QuadRiot?
It's simple. Students submit funny, strange, worthy-of-sharing links. The community votes (aka riots) on what bits are good enough to make it out of the queue and enter immortality on this front page. Presto! The best of the Interweb for your procrastination perusal.
Should Bonds go into the Hall of Fame? Were the drugs he did banned by baseball when he did them? Should McGwire be held back from the Hall? Should Pete Rose be held back from the Hall? I feel stumped. I think Bonds is a complete asshole, but I also think he's drawn more attention than Sosa and McGwire because of that fact and maybe that's not fair. Someone should come out with a book about McGwire.
I think part of it is that Bonds continued to do it even when baseball banned it. McGwire is in a gray area, because he apparently used enhancers when it was legal and conveniently retired when they became illegal. Sosa's last few years have been horrendous. The real question is should someone be penalized for doing something that was not against the rules. Although, without a prescription steroids ARE against the law.
Regardless, I wouldn't vote for any of them. But if Bonds had continued to play the way he did in the 80's without using, he'd be a shoo-in.
