What is QuadRiot?
It's simple. Students submit funny, strange, worthy-of-sharing links. The community votes (aka riots) on what bits are good enough to make it out of the queue and enter immortality on this front page. Presto! The best of the Interweb for your procrastination perusal.
"Nobody thinks they're going to be the one . . . to get their kids killed in a plane crash. You don't think those things are going to happen to you. And I didn't think that I'd be traded.” Yeah Bronson, GREAT comparison. Not so much.
But Arroyo is young, buys into the system, team player, cheap, etc.. All of those players had probably already peaked and were pricey. Brady and Seymour might be more apt comparisons.
Uh, last I checked, Brady and Seymour were good, not mediocre. And who bought into the system more than Troy Brown? And how is a 29-year-old curveball pitcher supposed to be young? Papelbon is young. Arroyo should have entered his prime a year or two ago. Having said that, I liked the guy and his sketchy hair and Northeastern imbroglios, so I was hoping they'd keep him. But Belichick has a heart of ice and a soul of lead, so he definitely would have shipped Arroyo's 4.51 ERA out of town in a heartbeat. Though probably not for "Wily" Wily Mo Pena.
He's got $10 million dollars, a World Series ring, and the phone numbers of a few Northeastern freshman. He can't cry too much. Although I admit this, his willingness to sign a deal like that will mean, pretty much kills the hometown deals for years to come. Imagine if the Sox had did that to Varitek.
BroYo was a fun character, but just think - we now have guys named Coco Crisp and Wily Mo "I onle got one L" Pena!!! I mean - does it get any better? I haven't been this excited since we had Pokey...

Belichick's the guy who cut Lawyer Milloy, Ty Law, Troy Brown, and Willie McGinest. I don't think Arroyo would have a chance against those odds.
